Osmaston Park Wedding Photography – Jess and Ben

Meet Jess and Ben, this utterly adorable pair got married at Osmaston Park, Ashbourne inDerbyshire back in May. I joined Jess as she was getting ready in the morning. I fell in love with her dress the moment I set eyes on it – just as Jess herself had even though it was the complete opposite of the style she’d imagined herself in! The 1920s influenced wedding dress she’d chosen looked perfect on her and looked amazing next to the bridesmaids’ blush pink gowns. Most importantly though (no offence girls) let’s just take a moment to appreciate how cute Jess and Ben’s dog looked in her wedding collar. I ADORE dogs and love it whenever they make an appearance at a wedding! I have a German Shepherd and a Husky myself – so I’m a real sucker for gorgeous doggy portraits!

I must say, my absolute favourite moment of this wedding was when Jess’ dad saw her for the first time. It was the most beautiful, emotional and amazing moment and I felt so privileged to share that with them. No guesses as to who was crying behind the camera too!

St Martins Church Wedding Ceremony

I joined Ben and his groomsmen outside St Martins Church in Osmaston. All dressed in navy tweed suits they looked great, and Ben’s smile got wider and wider as he greeted the guests filing into church. He couldn’t wait for his bride to arrive! Their pup led the way down the aisle, to a collective ‘ahh’ from everyone in the church, before Jess was escorted by her very proud father. Her smile as soon as she saw Ben lit up the room and they spent the whole ceremony holding hands, giving each other little grins and whispering away
together. These two are absolutely made for each other!

Osmaston Park Wedding Reception

As everyone arrived at Osmaston Park, I nipped into the marquee to photograph all the little details that Jess and Ben had put so much effort into. They had put so many personal touches into their day, I loved the table numbers made from books – it was such a great idea. Another fab touch was the personalised place cards. They’d researched the meaning of everyone’s names and included that at each setting. It was a great conversation starter when guests took their places for the meal! As their friends and family relaxed on the terrace I took Jess and Ben away for their portraits. We had such a giggle! Osmaston Park has such beautiful grounds – so we were spoilt for choice for locations.

Jess and Ben, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding at Osmaston Park. I absolutely loved being part of your day!
